The Gospel Accoding to Jesus
John MacArthur
This is a great Christian classic that must be read by all Christians and preachers. The very nature of the Gospel Message is biblically examined and applied to the consciences of its readers. This book shook the Evangelical world at its first writing in 1988 and should continue to do so today. Too many preachers, even some Reformed preachers, are not willing to biblically expound and apply the implications of following Christ as Saviour and Lord. John MacArthur is not afraid to faithfully preach and apply to each person sitting in his own church, the fruits of a genuine knowledge of Christ. All preachers, including some Reformed preachers, should learn from this man how to fearlessly challenge the professions of some who say they know Christ, and yet whose lives lack the necessary fruit of salvation. This MacArthur insists that it be done for the eternal good of the souls to whom the Gospel is preached.

Puritan Reformed Spirituality
Joel R. Beeke
We are living in a age that is constantly stressing the need for spirituality. Here is a book that deals with spirituality from a thoroughly biblical perspective. The author seeks to accomplish this goal by tracing the history and writings of some of the most thoroughly biblical and spiritual men throughout the history of the Christian Church. Of particular value is the last chapter that deals with, The Lasting Power of Reformed Experimental Preaching. This is a book well worth reading!

Ashamed of the Gospel
John MacArthur
This book deals with the fact that the modern Church is being influenced by the world rather than the Holy Scriptures. Instead of asking, what does the Bible say, too many preachers ask, what do the people want?

The Genius of Puritanism
Peter Lewis
This book gives a brief historical survey of some of the main Puritan preachers. It masterfully shows how the Puritans where physicians of the soul in dealing with spiritual depression and the lack of assurance of salvation. In my opinion, no one can match the Puritans in their biblical applications of spiritual remedies to the discouragements of God's children. The title of the book is not an exaggeration!

“Mr. Grossi’s book is a timely call to return to biblical, Spirit-anointed preaching, akin to what the Puritans called “plain preaching.” Such preaching does justice to the glory of God, the centrality of Christ, the saving ministry of the Holy Spirit, the depravity of man, and the invitations of gospel! This book should be read by all who preach.” ---Dr. Joel R. Beeke
Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary,Grand Rapids, Michigan

“Upon reading Mr. Grossi’s manuscript, I must commend him for the evident research he has done. As a college and seminary professor who reads MA and Doctorate level theses, I was struck by the extensive bibliography that he has used. I am thankful for the many quotes from Scripture and otherwise, which demonstrated the research done. These numerous quotes add weight to what he is trying to say, especially by the fact that he quotes from the right extra biblical sources. The book is well written with good phrasing and use of illustrations. Mr. Grossi makes his points well with good applications. The material flows well and is coherent and progressive with one chapter building upon previous chapters."---Dr. Wayne Mack

Book Review: James M. Garretson

“Gabriel Grossi has written a useful book on effective Bible-based, Spirit-anointed preaching. . . . He provides a compact summary of the distinctive features that have typically influenced and characterized preaching within the Reformed stream of the Protestant Reformation. Particularly valuable are the Scripture references cited. . . . The touch of a good editorial hand and careful proofreader for the next printing will greatly enhance a book worth reading in spite of its production errors.”
